Food Production Team Manager Hours of work: * Night Shift: 22:00pm - 06:00am Pay: * £30,250pa Gi Group are currently seeking a dedicated Food Production Manager to work in the Bolton area. This will be working for one of the UK's leading well-established food manufacturer, producing high quality cake and hot desserts to customers all across the world. This role is ideal for a dedicated professional looking to oversee production processes to manage the safe, efficient and cost effectiveness of the factory production. You will be responsible for managing people, processes, and machinery, aiming to meet production goals and uphold high standards of quality and safety.Key role and key responsibilities include:* Ensure that all scheduled production plans are delivered on time and in full and whilst all performance related KPI's are delivered in an effective and profitable manner.* Develop the skills of the team leaders and strive to multi skill the team. * Ensure, through maintaining the appropriate staffing levels and the development of adequate skills cover, that the ability to produce to standard performance is maintained.* Building strong relationships with support teams such as Hygiene, Quality, Supply Chain, Health & Safety, and HR.* Actively promote a safety & wellbeing culture within the department and ensure that all Health, Safety and Environmental requirements are met by every team leader and team member.* Ensure product quality standards are continually met and the site is always 'audit ready'.* To foster high levels of motivation and morale within the team through sound leadership and effective employee communication and apply engagement strategy consistently.* Leading projects to reduce waste and improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).The Successful candidate:* Leadership and people management experience is required.* Experience in Food manufacturing, shift work and performance management is preferred.* Familiarity with production planning, logistics, and financial aspects of factory management is beneficial.* Understanding of quality management systems, food safety regulations, and occupational safety standards is advantageous.Benefits:* Free car parking onsite * Fantastic development opportunities * Subsidised modern canteen * 28 days of holiday
