Mpeople are currently working with a large UK manufacturer and supply company who due to growth are expanding the purchasing team.  Salary £22,300 - £24,300. Hours Monday to Friday 9.00 am to 5.00 pm. 

Purchasing Administrator Duties:

  • Good receipting material, matching, and checking in goods received to orders on the system. 
  • Arrange collections and credits of faulty items. 
  • Booking in orders from all delivery notes. 
  • Loading new products onto the system. 
  • Manage and control purchasing inventory accuracy checks. 
  • Keep updated records in line with current systems. 
  • Identifying continuous improvements and report to the Manager. 
  • Prevent overstocking and out of stocks by working closely with the Purchasing Manager. 
  • Following up on orders and deliveries to prevent delays. 
  • Assisting in monitoring supplier performance. 
  • Comply with Health and Safety. 

Purchasing Administrator Requirements:

  • Experience of working in a similar role is desirable but not necessary as training will be given to the right person. 
  • You will need to be numerate, have good problem-solving skills with excellent communication skills.  
  • Must have good relationship building skills and the ability to build rapport quickly.
  • High attention to detail, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment whilst having the ability to prioritise workloads.   
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Office applications, Outlook, Excel, and Word.  
  • Knowledge of ERP/ CRM (Customer Relationship Management) Systems desirable but not required as training will be given.
  • Required able to work to deadlines and targets.
