Our client is seeking a skilled and driven Senior Buyer to join their dynamic team. You will be responsible for sourcing goods and services, managing suppliers, and ensuring that procurement processes align with company goals, all while driving cost-efficiency and quality improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of procurement, from identifying needs to sourcing suppliers and negotiating contracts
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure cost-efficiency and competitiveness
  • Negotiate favourable pricing, terms, and supplier agreements to drive cost savings and value
  • Monitor supplier performance and manage relationships through regular reviews and performance assessments
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and industry regulations
  • Maintain accurate supplier records and manage procurement documentation
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery and stock availability
  • Identify and mitigate procurement risks and opportunities in a fast-paced environment

What We're Looking For:

  • Proven experience in a similar procurement or buying role
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience managing supplier relationships and driving cost-saving initiatives
  • Ability to prioritise and manage tasks effectively in a high-pressure environment
  • Excellent organisational, numeracy, and communication skills
  • Ideally MCIPS qualified or working towards it
