Our client, a UK based multi-utility infrastructure provider, is looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join their team in either their Burntwood or Bolton offices. The Quantity Surveyor will play a vital role in managing all commercial aspects of their region building strong relationships with key stakeholders. You will oversee financial performance reporting and support the management team to ensure commercial awareness throughout project delivery. Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce weekly and monthly cost/value reconciliations
  • Bridge the gap between operations and clients, managing variations and scope changes
  • Liaise with design, operations & others to monitor and manage commercial performance
  • Attend monthly operational meetings to review performance & address underperformance
  • Prepare client valuations and manage client relationships/disputes
  • Oversee client debt management, fostering strong client relationships
  • Prepare final accounts for both clients and subcontractor

Key skills and experience required:

  • Experience in a commercial/financial role within the utility sector ? essential 
  • Direct experience working with clients and managing relationships
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proven ability to manage and produce cost/value reconciliations
  • Strong skills in building both internal and external relationships
  • Knowledge of commercial contract terms and conditions
  • Experience handling client variations and negotiating scope changes
  • Confident in leading and managing meetings
  • Proficient in Excel and document management systems
