Elevation Recruitment Group are currently working with Severfield, the largest specialist structural steelwork Group in the UK, with the appointment of a Senior Quantity Surveyor.
This is an excellent opportunity to join an expanding team in the group’s Nuclear and Infrastructure division, working for a business which prides itself on quality and innovation, with unrivalled expertise in critical infrastructure projects.
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor you will be working on high value and critical projects, building relationships with a range of high-profile clients which service the defence, nuclear, oil & gas and petrochemical sectors.
The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for:
- Ensuring the successful commercial outcome of key nuclear and defence projects
- Commercial responsibility from contract award through to completion and final account.
- Managing variations and changes with customers
- Working as part of an experienced commercial team
- Developing key relations with a range of clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Working closely with internal departments to ensure successful, profitable outcomes.
The Senior Quantity Surveyor will need:
- Previous experience working as a QS or Senior QS
- Construction industry experience in a commercial role
- Strong experience of NEC3 or NEC4 contracts
- Good communication skills with the ability to influence
- An understanding of fabrication processes is desirable
- Experience of managing and delivering variations whilst retaining repeat business
