Rail Technical Division

Bolton (BL3 2NZ)

£25,000 + uncapped commission

January 2025 Start

Ganymede is seeking a driven and ambitious Trainee Recruitment Consultant to join our expanding Rail Technical division in Bolton. As part of our well-established team, you will start by supporting delivery for existing vacancies, with a clear pathway to progress into a full 360 recruitment role.

The Role

In this entry-level role, you will begin by learning core recruitment skills: attracting, sourcing, and interviewing candidates, while guiding them through the recruitment process. As you grow in confidence and experience, you will start managing client relationships, building external networks, and generating sales leads. Eventually, you'll assume responsibility for developing your own client accounts and handling job vacancies in a 360 capacity. Throughout, you'll receive comprehensive training and mentorship from our experienced team, ensuring you have all the support needed to excel.

Focus on P-Way and Signalling

As a Trainee Recruitment Consultant in our Rail Technical team, you will specifically focus on recruitment within P-Way (Permanent Way) and signalling. These crucial sectors form the backbone of railway infrastructure and operations, covering everything from track engineering to safety and signalling systems. In this role, you'll gain a deep understanding of these technical areas, supporting the recruitment needs of clients and helping match skilled candidates to positions that keep the railways safe, efficient, and innovative. This experience will allow you to grow specialised knowledge and expertise within P-Way and signalling, positioning you as a trusted consultant in the rail technical field.

About You

We are looking for a target-driven, motivated individual with a passion for starting a long-term career in recruitment sales. You'll need the resilience and determination to succeed in a fast-paced industry, and an appreciation for the hard work it takes to thrive. If you're ambitious, personable, and ready to grow, this role offers you an ideal starting point.

Requirements

- B2B or B2C sales experience, or experience in a delivery-focused recruitment role with a desire to sell

- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

- Positive approach to problem resolution

- Ability to work efficiently in a dynamic environment

- Excellent organisational and prioritisation abilities

- Detail-oriented with strong interpersonal skills

- Ability to build and maintain strong internal and external relationships

- Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint)
