Simply Education is working with a SEMH School based in Horwich, Bolton, for a maternity cover from January 2025 until July 2025. They are seeking a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join their exceptional team at our SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) school in Bolton.
The Role
They are currently seeking an enthusiastic and passionate English Teacher to join our exceptional team. As an English Teacher, you will have the unique opportunity to work with students who may face challenges related to social and emotional mental health and ADHD.
- Your role will involve creating engaging, inclusive, and supportive learning environments that help students thrive academically and emotionally.
- You will be responsible for delivering high-quality English lessons and developing individualised approaches that cater to the specific needs of each pupil.
- This role requires a teacher who is proactive, adaptable, and dedicated to supporting the academic and personal growth of students with SEMH needs.
About the School
The school is a Special Academy providing education for up to 70 secondary-aged pupils. They specialise in supporting students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, all of whom have their specific needs identified within an Education, Health, and Care Plan (EHCP). Their dedicated team offers a tailored curriculum that includes academic, vocational, and personal one-to-one education, ensuring that every pupil has the opportunity to reach their full potential.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS equivalent (essential).
- A passion for teaching and working with students with SEMH needs.
- Experience teaching English in either a SEMH or mainstream educational setting.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with staff, parents, and external agencies.
- A proactive and adaptable teaching style with the ability to create a nurturing, supportive classroom environment.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and contributing to a positive school community.
