An excellent opportunity has arisen within a leading trans-national defence company, for a Bolton based, highly motivated individual to work within a multi-skilled security team covering a dynamic and evolving site!

Salary: up to circa £39,000 Depending on experience

Dynamic (hybrid) working: Typically between 3 and 5 days per week working on-site; up to 2 days a week working from home.

Security Clearance: British Citizen or a UK national with British citizenship.

Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. The successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS) and an HMG Security Clearance (SC) and dependant on role progression a Developed Vetting (DV) clearance may be required, which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.

The opportunity:

A varied and dynamic role, working as part of a progressive security operations environment, will see the successful candidate applying security and risk management techniques, to meet the various security requirements of both the project teams and site, as well as promoting a secure modern working environment. They will also act as part of an operational team for the delivery of all cryptographic and classified holdings across the site in accordance with governmental and MOD security regulations.

The successful candidate will also conduct security investigations within the site, liaising with law enforcement, MOD and other government departments as required.

As an experienced security professional you will form a core part of a team, delivering security support across all aspects of physical, cyber and personnel security to the various teams and projects located at the site!

What we're looking for from you:

  • A professional qualification, or relevant experience, in security, cryptographic management or a related area.

  • Experience of managing a team, working within defence or other government regulated industry environments.

  • A thorough understanding of the application of security risk management.

  • Good communications skills, with the ability to translate security information into a focused brief, in either presentational or written formats.
