My client is looking for an ambitious and driven Android Developer who is keen to grow their career and contribute to the growth of the business.

The successful Android Developer will design and build high-quality mobile applications, take part in the full development lifecycle from concept to deployment, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, build and maintain high-performance, reusable, and reliable code
  • Work with product managers, designers, and backend developers to deliver seamless features and improvements
  • Optimise app performance, fix bugs, and ensure a smooth user experience across multiple devices and Android versions
  • Continuously learn and implement the latest Android SDKs, tools, and
  • development techniques.
  • Follow industry best practices in coding, testing, and security to maintain
  • high-quality software.
  • Conduct thorough testing, debugging, and manage app releases to the
  • Google Play Store.
  • Collaborate with backend teams to integrate APIs and ensure smooth
  • communication between the app and server.

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of Android SDK, different versions of Android and how to deal with different screen sizes
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services
  • Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices
  • Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning
  • Knowledge of the open-source Android ecosystem and the libraries available for common tasks
  • Understanding of Google's Android design principles and interface guidelines
  • Experience with RxJava
  • Experience programming in Kotlin
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
