Position: SEN Teaching Assistant (1:1 Support for Year 2 Pupil)

Location: BL2, Bolton

Salary: £86 - £91 per day

Hours: 8:30 AM - 3:45 PM (Monday to Friday, 30-minute break)

Start Date: Immediate

Contract Type: Long-term, ongoing basis

About the SEN Teaching Assistant Role: Reeson Education is collaborating with a primary school in Bolton to recruit a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant. The successful candidate will provide one-on-one support to a Year 2 pupil with autism, sensory needs, and emotional challenges. The child may experience dysregulation when daily routines are disrupted. Your role will be pivotal in establishing a trusting relationship, ensuring the pupil feels safe, secure, and supported throughout the school day.

SEN Teaching Assistant Key Responsibilities:

Offer tailored support to the Year 2 pupil, addressing their unique educational and emotional needs.
Assist in maintaining consistent routines to help the child remain regulated and engaged.
Implement strategies to manage sensory sensitivities and emotional responses.
Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCO to develop and execute individualised learning plans.
Foster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment that promotes the pupil's well-being and academic progress.

SEN Teaching Assistant Requirements:

Demonstrated experience working with children with autism and similar needs is highly desirable.
Exceptional patience, dedication, and empathy from the SEN Teaching Assistant.
Strong commitment to building a trusting and supportive relationship with the pupil.
Ability to maintain consistency and adapt to the child's evolving needs.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Availability to work full-time hours as specified.
