Position: SEN Teaching Assistant (1:1 Support for Year 2 Pupil)
Location: BL2, Bolton
Salary: £86 - £91 per day
Hours: 8:30 AM - 3:45 PM (Monday to Friday, 30-minute break)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Long-term, ongoing basis
About the SEN Teaching Assistant Role: Reeson Education is collaborating with a primary school in Bolton to recruit a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant. The successful candidate will provide one-on-one support to a Year 2 pupil with autism, sensory needs, and emotional challenges. The child may experience dysregulation when daily routines are disrupted. Your role will be pivotal in establishing a trusting relationship, ensuring the pupil feels safe, secure, and supported throughout the school day.
SEN Teaching Assistant Key Responsibilities:
- Offer tailored support to the Year 2 pupil, addressing their unique educational and emotional needs.
- Assist in maintaining consistent routines to help the child remain regulated and engaged.
- Implement strategies to manage sensory sensitivities and emotional responses.
- Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCO to develop and execute individualised learning plans.
- Foster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment that promotes the pupil's well-being and academic progress.
SEN Teaching Assistant Requirements:
- Demonstrated experience working with children with autism and similar needs is highly desirable.
- Exceptional patience, dedication, and empathy from the SEN Teaching Assistant.
- Strong commitment to building a trusting and supportive relationship with the pupil.
- Ability to maintain consistency and adapt to the child's evolving needs.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Availability to work full-time hours as specified.
