Care Assistant /Unqualified Teaching Assistant

Empowering Learning are working closely with Special Needs SEN schools across Bolton to support children with diverse special needs. The role would be working as a Learning Support Assistant / Teaching Assistant to support pupils with complex and/or medical difficulties including Autism ASD, Dyslexia, Aspergers Syndrome, ADHD, personal care needs, Hearing or Visual Impairment.

Job Responsibilities

  • Comfortable supporting pupils with diverse and/or complex learning disabilities
  • Ability to engage and support pupils' learning.
  • Supporting pupils with emotional regulation
  • Develop therapeutic relationships with pupils.
  • Experience in supporting pupils with SEND needs is desirable but not essential.
  • To promote and support the inclusion of all pupils in learning activities and maximise their achievement.

Requirements

  • Some experience working with special needs children is preferred but not essential.
  • Passion for creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
  • Support Worker, Care Assisting, Health care background ideally.
