About the Role:
In this fast-paced procurement role you will source a range of medical devices, equipment and consumables from a global supplier base. Your responsibilities will encompass end to end procurement so we are looking for individuals with a well-rounded skill set, from raising POs and expediting supplier deliveries to sourcing new items, negotiating with suppliers and delivering cost savings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively source high-quality products that meet customer requirements
- Implement cost-saving initiatives through effective supplier management and stock optimisation
- Manage day-to-day purchasing activities with precision and efficiency
- Maintain accurate price lists and supplier information
- Drive continuous improvement in cost savings across key product lines
Ideal skills and experience:
- Min 2+ years' experience within a purchasing or procurement role
- Ability to build strong relationships and partnerships with suppliers and internal colleagues
- Confidence to negotiate with suppliers and influence others
- Strong analytical ability (intermediate level Excel)
- Exceptional communication skills, verbal and written
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and meet a variety of critical deadlines
- A proactive, "can-do" attitude:
- CIPS qualification (including part qualified or commitment to start studies)
