Transport Planner
£32,000 + excellent overtime opportunities
Bolton
4 on 4 off 12 hour shift patterns, 6am to 6pm including weekends

We have a great opportunity to join a dynamic and hard working team of Transport Planner on a permanent basis for our exceptional client based in Bolton, North Manchester/Lancashire.

You would be joining a company who are passionate about what they do, delivering great customer service to their customers through their hard working and efficient teams.

The successful candidate will be well organised and motivated and be able to arrange the deliveries of customers products on time. You will use the most effective means possible with the available resources that you have whilst complying with transport legislation and health and safety.

Some of the responsibilities will include:

  • Manage drivers to ensure start times are adhered to.
  • Communicate changes to the team, so everyone is aware and understands.
  • Plan work daily to ensure that nothing is missed.
  • Work towards KPI's in agreed timescales.
  • Ensure profitability of both owned and sub-contracted vehicles.
  • Work with drivers to ensure that their loads are adhering to the safety standards.
  • Comply with all transport legislation at all times.


This can be a pressured role and time management and the ability to multi task effectively is key.

You must have a background within the transport industry as a planner to be considered for this role.
