Elevation Recruitment Group are seeking a highly skilled Welding Engineer to join our clients dynamic team within the nuclear sector. This role is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated professional with expertise in welding engineering, quality assurance, and compliance within highly regulated industries.
Key Responsibilities- Reviewing and accepting of all Nuclear welding related documentation procedures (WPS, WPQR’s, processing etc.)
- Provide technical support on welding processes, material selection, and fabrication methods.
- Ensure all welding activities align with nuclear safety and infrastructure project requirements.
- Conduct inspections, audits, and quality control checks to maintain high welding standards.
- Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to optimize welding operations.
- Support non-destructive testing (NDT) and review welding documentation.
- Troubleshoot welding issues and provide innovative solutions for project challenges.
- Degree/HND in Welding Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Recognized welding qualifications (e.g., IWE, CSWIP, PCN Level 2/3).
- Experience in nuclear, infrastructure, or heavy engineering projects.
- Strong knowledge of welding codes and standards (e.g. BS EN ISO 14731, ISO 3834, BS EN ISO 15614, BS EN ISO 9606).
- Ability to lead welding-related quality assurance and compliance processes.
- Experience with NDT techniques and materials used in high-integrity applications.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
