Overview of the Business:
Our client is a traditional company that has been trading for over 100 years, people are also very familiar with the business (they alreday have 220,000 customers and growing) and they sell award winning food and drink products all across the UK. A good proportion of their success is selling their products to the general public and they do this by visiting them each week (door to door) with a selection of goods where individuals can choose whatever product they like for a small price. Many of their customers have bought products from this company for years and their food and drink products are genuinely some of the very best of the market.
The Role:
As the business is doing so well they are now on the hunt for a new Customer Representative and Canvasser to cover the Bonnyrigg and surrounding areas. This position involves canvassing new customers by using the traditional method of knocking on potential customers doors and politely asking them to give our clients award-winning products a try.
The ideal candidate will be friendly, polite, respectful and be happy to go door to door and engage with people they have never met before.
The successful candidate will need to be a driver with their own transport (mileage allowance is paid at 40p per mile), you will also need to:
Be positive, friendly, and approachable as well as resilient.
Enjoy working outdoors come rain or shine.
Be a good communicator with great interpersonal and customer service skills.
Be self-motivated, committed and enjoy working independently.
No prior experience is needed however attitude, willingness and ability to engage with people is key to success in this role.
