Description
- Prepare and post standard and recurring manual journal entries, including intercompany transactions and top-level Finance Core entries.
- Post accruals and reclassification entries that do not require direct interaction with cost center owners (e.g., utility expenses, insurance, payroll corrections, worker's compensation, and property taxes).
- Identify and resolve reconciliation discrepancies between Clarity, SAP, BPC (Business Planning & Consolidation), and Finance Core, including engaging business partners for issue resolution when needed.
- Process allocations (e.g., R&D costs, payroll costs, and WBS elements) based on monthly timesheets, wages, salaries, share-based calculations, and HR reconciliations (e.g., superannuation and benefits). Prepare monthly PTO (Paid Time Off) journal entries and maintain reporting on prepaid balances.
- Assist in preparing entity budgets and forecasts, including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements.
- Load budgeting and planning data into the consolidation system for legal entities and consolidate group-level budgets and forecasts, including balance sheet and cash flow details.
- Process manual settlements in SAP that fall outside automated RPA workflows.
- Calculate IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) adjustments and collaborate with Controlling & Reporting for review.
- Provide support for internal and external audits, including submitting AP (Accounts Payable) invoice documentation to auditors.
Profile
A successful Financial Accountant should have:
- A relevant degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
- Studying towards a professional certification such as ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent
- Strong understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices
- Excellent analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles to analyse financial reports and forecasts
- Proficiency with accounting software and experience with a software system implementation
- Great attention to detail and accuracy
