MET is seeking a Machine Operator in the Netherton area with a minimum of 2 years' experience.
Key responsibilities include skilled TIG welding, setting and running welding machines, and inspecting finished products.
The position requires a willingness to learn new skills and operate other CNC machines while working confidently in a team environment.
Shifts will initially be training in the mornings before moving to afternoons, with hours from 5:30 am to 2:30 pm, transitioning to 2:30 pm to 10:45 pm and Fridays from 11:30 am to 5:30 pm.
The pay is set at £13 per hour, with a 40-hour work week and the possibility of overtime.

Job description

Key Duties:

Carry out skilled TIG welding work and make good repairs to a high standard
Set and run welding machine; plasma welds rods to links
Prepare and load components onto the machine and make any necessary adjustments to produce the best results.
Inspect and measure finished products
Willing to learn new skills and other CNC machines.
Confident working in a team in a busy factory environment.
You have minimum 2 years’ experience.

Shifts:

Training on mornings, then moving to afternoons

Pay:

Required to operate semi – automatic stainless steel welding machine must be capable of repairing faulty welds

Full machine training will be provided

40 hours per week possible overtime
