Job Title: Fabric Technician

Bootle

Hours of work 40 Hours per Week

Salary: 30000 pounds per annum

Purpose of Job

To provide efficient and effective building maintenance support to the Urenco, Capenhurst and Birchwood sites, ensuring general appearance of the buildings are maintained in accordance with the required standards. Observe safe working practices in carrying out the required duties and ensure that instructions specified by management are adhered to.

Essential Skills

Driving Licence (full disclosure of all/any endorsements)

Asbestos Awareness

Legionella Awareness

Joinery

Desirable Skills

Emergency light testing

Good Communication skills with onsite personnel

Basic Knowledge of building fabrication repair and decoration

IPAF 1b, 3a and 3b

Key Responsibilities

Ensure that Planned Preventative Maintenance is carried out in line with task schedules and industry best practices.

Answering calls on fabric services as required and carrying out surveys, highlighting major defects to management to enable quotations to be prepared.

Identify any defects found to Line Manager.

Attend site and carry out reactive repairs as instructed by administration team.

To ensure that gullies, drains etc. are kept free from debris.

To undertake specific duties as outlined below:

Final exit door checks around site.

Fire door checks around site

Legionella tap temperature testing and tap de-scaling.

Emergency light testing

Site Carpentry/Joinery

Brick and Block Work

Various decorative finishes

Wall and Floor Tiling

To monitor stock levels of consumable and arrange to replenish supplies including- requisition, storage, and distribution of such items.

To maintain appropriate records for logbooks

To assist and host where necessary, personnel visiting the site such as contractors.
