I am working with a South Sefton primary school, to find an experienced SEND teaching assistant for the EYFS class. This school puts its values at the heart of practice. Your new role
You will be supporting on a 1:1 basis within the EYFS class. You will be expected to build a positive relationship with the pupil, promoting high self-esteem, independence, and social inclusion. You will adapt your communication style to respond to the pupil according to their individual needs and promote high standards of behaviour, responding in line with the school's behaviour policy and guidelines on physical intervention. You will also assist with the development and delivery of individual education, support, and care plans whilst supporting the pupil with their social, emotional, and mental health needs, escalating concerns where appropriate.
What you'll need to succeed
Experience working with SEND pupils on a 1-1 basis, ideally in EYFS
Passionate about supporting children to achieve the best outcomes
