This is a permanent role with my client and are paying up to £25,623 per annum with a pay rise due in April 2025. You will be required to have have or undertake prison vetting to be able to work in this role.

OVERALL PURPOSE:

To co-ordinate meaningful activity for the older population resident in HMP Altcourse providing high quality, innovative, holistic, advice and information in a responsive manner ensuring the needs of our service users, who often experience multiple and complex disadvantages are met. Works with: Older Prisoners, Prison and Probation Staff, Healthcare providers and other agencies within the prison.Also with: HMPPS (His Majesty's Prison and Probation Service), Ministry of Justice, housing providers, local authorities and other third sector organisations.ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Service Delivery and Support:
  2. Ensure positive health and wellbeing.
  3. Provide person-centered activities that reflect individual rights and preferences.
  4. Maintain meticulous records and share data responsibly.
  5. Collaboration and Communication:
  6. Engage with the wider Recoop team, other prison departments and external stakeholders.
  7. Promote a positive work ethic and team culture.
  8. Participate in relevant meetings and continuous professional development.
  9. Strategic and Technical Contributions:
  10. Contribute to innovative service development.
  11. Advocate for Recoop service growth and business development.
  12. Provide regular progress reports and maintain knowledge of relevant policies.
  13. Management and Compliance:
  14. Collect monitoring information and deliver reports.
  15. Adhere to safety and risk requirements.
  16. Ensure safeguarding responsibilities are met.
