We are seeking a Year 2 Teacher for a Primary School in Wigan (WN5) for a long-term position from January 2025 to May 2025.
The role requires previous KS1 teaching experience and knowledge of SATs, with a salary that includes excellent rates of pay.
The position involves working five full days a week, Monday to Friday, from 08:30 am to 16:00 pm, in a class of 27 children supported by two full-time teaching assistants.
Candidates must hold QTS, have a passion for teaching, and possess strong organizational and communication skills.

We are recruiting for a Year 2 Teacher for a Primary School in Wigan (WN5) to work on a long-term basis starting Jan 2025- May 2025!

The Year 2 Teacher role is to start as soon as possible and will be an on-going role until Fri 23/05/25. This Year 2 Teacher role is working 5 x full days per week Monday to Friday 08:30am- 16:00pm. There are 27 children in the class and there are two full-time TAs working on a one to one basis with SEND children. The school would like someone who has previous KS1 teaching experience and someone who has SATs knowledge.

Your role & responsibilities:

Teaching the children in class, ensuring they complete their work
Guiding students through the curriculum, marking working, setting home working tasks
Managing behaviour
Upholding school’s behaviour and safeguarding policies
Planning and delivering engaging lessons

Non-negotiables:

You must have relevant experience teaching pupils
Hold QTS
Knowledge of the national curriculum
Be passionate and understanding
Have confidence in managing classes of pupils
Excellent organisational skills to keep on top of marking and lesson planning
Good communication skills
