We are seeking a Year 2 Teacher for a Primary School in Wigan (WN5) to start as soon as possible and continue until July 18, 2025.
The position requires a commitment of five full days per week, from Monday to Friday, 08:30 am to 4:00 pm, in a class of 27 students supported by two full-time teaching assistants.
Candidates must have prior KS1 teaching experience, SATs knowledge, and hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

We are recruiting for a Year 2 Teacher for a Primary School in Wigan (WN5) to work on a long-term basis starting as soon as possible- July 2025!

The Year 2 Teacher role is to start as soon as possible and will be an on-going role until Fri 18/07/25. This Year 2 Teacher role is working 5 x full days per week Monday to Friday 08:30am- 16:00pm. There are 27 children in the class and there are two full-time TAs working on a one to one basis with SEND children. The school would like someone who has previous KS1 teaching experience and someone who has SATs knowledge.

Your role & responsibilities:

Teaching the children in class, ensuring they complete their work
Guiding students through the curriculum, marking working, setting home working tasks
Managing behaviour
Upholding school’s behaviour and safeguarding policies
Planning and delivering engaging lessons

Non-negotiables:

You must have relevant experience teaching pupils
Hold QTS
Knowledge of the national curriculum
Be passionate and understanding
Have confidence in managing classes of pupils
Excellent organisational skills to keep on top of marking and lesson planning
Good communication skills
