We are recruiting for a Year 2 Teacher for a Primary School in Wigan (WN5) to work on a long-term basis starting as soon as possible- July 2025!

The Year 2 Teacher role is to start as soon as possible and will be an on-going role until Fri 18/07/25. This Year 2 Teacher role is working 5 x full days per week Monday to Friday 08:30am- 16:00pm. There are 27 children in the class and there are two full-time TAs working on a one to one basis with SEND children. The school would like someone who has previous KS1 teaching experience and someone who has SATs knowledge.

Your role & responsibilities:

  • Teaching the children in class, ensuring they complete their work
  • Guiding students through the curriculum, marking working, setting home working tasks
  • Managing behaviour
  • Upholding school’s behaviour and safeguarding policies
  • Planning and delivering engaging lessons

Non-negotiables:

  • You must have relevant experience teaching pupils
  • Hold QTS
  • Knowledge of the national curriculum
  • Be passionate and understanding
  • Have confidence in managing classes of pupils
  • Excellent organisational skills to keep on top of marking and lesson planning
  • Good communication skills
