Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing costs and contracts across multiple projects within the facilities management, commercial construction, and refurbishment sectors. You will be responsible for ensuring value for money, risk management, and cost control while maintaining high-quality service delivery.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of cost management on projects from inception to completion.

  • Prepare and manage project budgets, cost plans, and procurement strategies.

  • Assess contractor claims and variations, negotiating and resolving disputes.

  • Prepare tender documentation and evaluate bids.

  • Monitor project progress and provide regular financial reports to senior management.

  • Work closely with project managers, contractors, and clients to ensure financial objectives are met.

  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and contract requirements.

  • Identify and mitigate project risks while maximizing value.



Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a Senior Quantity Surveyor role within the construction or facilities management sector.

  • Strong knowledge of NEC and JCT contracts.

  • Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Proficiency in cost estimation software and MS Office applications.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

  • Relevant degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management.

  • Chartered status (RICS or CIOB) is desirable but not essential.
