JT20 - Survey EngineerLocation - East HampshireSalary - Open to discussionsOverviewThe survey engineer us responsible for electronic, electrical and mechanical equipment used for the acquisition of geophysical, hydrographic, metalogical and oceanographic data. The position will include both site and office working.Duties and Responsibilities

  • Preparation of equipment for pre-survey mobilisation, to include setting up the survey suite in the workshop and testing its operation
  • Packing survey equipment ready for transportation to site, this to include, packing notes for all containers, including serial numbers and descriptions
  • Mobilising the equipment on site and assisting in the acquisition of data, de-mobilising the equipment at end of survey
  • Carry out maintenance and repair of survey equipment on site
  • On return from site, ensure that all equipment is checked, labelled and returned to the stores in accordance with the workshop procedures
  • Maintenance of survey equipment, including installing software/firmware updates, calibration and specific tooling
  • Assist with training of new personnel
  • Keep the workshop and stores clean and tidy
  • Adhere to EGSi HSE and QA Management Systems and Policies
  • Commitment to safe working practices
  • Additional duties that the company may reasonably require
