Responsibilities of the Maintenance Technician
- Install, repair and maintain all machines, tools, fixtures and equipment.
- Prepare work instructions for all manufacturing process equipment.
- Sort and consolidate waste materials including hazardous materials and waste.
- Coordinate and prioritise work schedules and assignments.
- Continuous Process Improvement.
- Troubleshoot machinery breakdowns and repair or replace.
- Plan, purchase supplies and install electrical service for new and/or relocated production machinery.
- Calibrate tools, fixtures and equipment.
Requirements for a successful Maintenance Technician
- ONC/HNC in Engineering discipline or equivalent with experience repairing and maintaining process machinery.
- 5+ years of equipment and building maintenance experience.
- COSHH certified.
- Experience working with and handling hazardous waste.
- Experience preparing work instructions.
- Strong IT skills with experience using Word and Excel.
- Excellent communication skills.
