Our client, a well-established UK manufacturer based in Bordon, is seeking an experienced Sales Ledger/Credit Controller to join their small, friendly finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in credit control and possess the ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with customers and key stakeholders.

Credit Controller - About The Role
Working alongside the Purchase Ledger Assistant and reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will take full ownership of the end-to-end accounts receivable process. You will work closely with the Project and Sales team and main responsibilities include:
- Issue sales invoices, retention invoices, and valuations within set deadlines
- Conduct credit checks on new and existing customer accounts
- Communicate weekly with the credit insurance partner
- Prepare and report on customer account positions weekly, including action plans
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers via phone and email
- Resolve queries efficiently, liaising with internal and external departments as needed
- Allocate incoming payments using remittance advices and payment certificates
- Generate and distribute customer statements
- Continuously seek improvements in credit control processes and procedures
The successful Credit Controller will have/be:
- Credit control experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work to deadlines and under pressure
- Organised and attention to detail
- Excellent Excel skills
