Description:
They are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Warehouse and Logistics Manager to lead and optimise our warehouse operations and logistics processes across multiple sites. This critical role ensures the efficient flow of raw materials and finished goods, supporting our manufacturing objectives and meeting customer demands. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in warehouse and logistics management within a manufacturing environment, with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
Responsibilities:
Warehouse Management
• Oversee all warehouse operations, including goods receiving, storage, inventory control, production kitting, Kanban, and dispatch.
• Develop and implement efficient warehouse processes, ensuring timely and accurate handling of materials and finished goods.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance warehouse efficiency, including optimising workflows, layout design, and the effective use of information systems.
• Monitor and maintain stock levels through effective inventory control measures, including cycle counting and stock reconciliation.
• Manage and mentor warehouse staff, ensuring a high level of performance and adherence to safety standards.
Logistics Management
• Develop and manage logistics strategies to support the sourcing of raw materials and the shipment of finished goods.
• Ensure trade compliance, including adherence to country-related regulations and international requirements for import/export and customs procedures.
• Collaborate with suppliers and transport partners to ensure timely delivery and cost efficiency.
• Plan and execute shipments, ensuring compliance with all relevant trade laws and documentation requirements.
• Maintain the accuracy of ERP system settings, such item export control (HTS codes) and Incoterms.
• Resolve logistics challenges to minimize disruptions to the supply chain. Compliance and Reporting
• Monitor and ensure adherence to health and safety regulations within the warehouse. • Prepare and present reports on warehouse and logistics performance, including key performance indicators (KPIs).
Education / Experience: Essential
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar warehouse and logistics management role, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
• Proven expertise in warehouse management processes, including inventory control, cycle counting, goods receiving, and dispatch.
• Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives, with a focus on enhancing operational efficiency and leveraging information systems.
• Solid logistics expertise, including procurement, shipment planning, and trade compliance.
• Strong knowledge of import/export regulations and customs procedures. • Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) software.
Desirable
• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field is preferred.
Compensation and Benefits:
• Hours of Work: 38 per week, 8.30 am to 5.30 pm (half hour lunch) Monday - Thursday, 8.30 am to 12.30 pm Friday.
