Your Key Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive cost estimates using Causeway Estimating Software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Perform detailed quantity takeoffs from architectural and engineering drawings.
- Analyse bid specifications and collaborate with subcontractors for competitive pricing.
- Conduct cost analyses on materials, methods, and design changes to optimise project budgets.
- Evaluate risks and propose mitigation strategies for seamless project execution.
- Maintain detailed documentation of estimating activities and assumptions.
- Participate in tender-stage site visits to assess challenges and gather critical information.
- Qualifications: Degree/HND in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or equivalent experience.
- Experience: Strong background in estimating Power/Electrical/Renewable projects with knowledge of NEC3/NEC4/FIDIC contracts.
- Skills: Proficiency in estimating software, advanced Excel, and excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Essentials: A valid UK driving licence and the ability to interpret complex project specifications.
