Our growing client is seeking a talented Structural Civil Engineer to join our team, contributing to the delivery of industry-leading civil engineering solutions. About the Role As a Structural Civil Engineer, you will oversee the design, analysis, and execution of projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety requirements. Youll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, lead design coordination efforts, and provide technical expertise to deliver high-quality results.
Key Responsibilities Structural Design & Analysis
- Design and analyse infrastructure elements, including bridges, buildings, and foundations, using engineering software and adhering to Eurocodes & British Standards.
- Perform detailed structural calculations and simulations to assess performance under varied load cases.
- Develop project plans, allocate resources, and manage sub-consultants to meet deadlines and budgets.
- Coordinate with architects, planning consultants, and project stakeholders to ensure seamless integration during design stages.
- Ensure designs meet regulatory standards and obtain necessary approvals.
- Prepare comprehensive technical reports, drawings, and BIM-enabled documentation for stakeholders.
- Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress and verify compliance with design specifications.
- Contribute to risk assessments and develop hazard elimination plans for construction phases.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices, leading CPD workshops to promote team development.
- Progress towards or maintain Professional Registration (CEng), fostering innovation and excellence within the team.
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or related field; Masters degree preferred.
- Chartered Engineer (CEng) status with IET or ICE (preferred) or evidence of significant progress towards professional registration.
- Demonstrable experience in structural design and project management, ideally within electricity substations or water pipelines.
- Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, Revit, TEKLA, and TEDDS.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Exceptional communication skills, enabling collaboration with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Deep understanding of building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
