Our client is seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Lab Assistant to support their dental laboratory team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of dental materials and techniques, be detail-oriented, and have the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. This role involves assisting with the preparation, fabrication, and repair of dental appliances and prosthetics.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Dental Appliance Fabrication: Assist in the fabrication and repair of dental prosthetics, including crowns, bridges, dentures, and retainers, following precise specifications and guidelines.
  • Material Preparation: Prepare and mix dental materials such as impression materials, dental stone, and waxes as required for various procedures.
  • Lab Equipment: Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including dental lathes, ovens, and grinders, ensuring all tools are in good working condition.
  • Impression Handling: Receive and handle dental impressions, ensuring proper storage and preparation for further processing.
  • Quality Control: Inspect finished products for accuracy and quality, making necessary adjustments to meet dental specifications and standards.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of materials used, work performed, and any relevant details related to each case.
  • Health and Safety: Follow strict health and safety protocols to ensure a clean and safe working environment. Adhere to infection control procedures.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with dental technicians, dentists, and other laboratory staff to ensure timely and accurate completion of work orders.
  • Customer Service: Address any queries or concerns from dental professionals regarding lab work and provide necessary support or information. Dealing with incoming enquiries via phone and email.
  • Admin: Checking in new orders on the CRM
  • Finance: Assist with billing, invoicing and financial recordings
Qualifications:
  • Education: Degree level or equivalent qualification
  • Experience: Previous experience as a dental lab assistant or in a similar role is highly desirable.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with dental materials, techniques, and laboratory equipment. Proficiency in using computer systems for record-keeping and communication.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Organisational Skills: Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with team members and dental professionals.
