Are you an excellent communicator, highly organised and able to work independently and collaboratively? If so, join Elysium Healthcare as a Business Co-Ordinator and become an integral member of the Referral Management Team.

You will be responsible for recording the full referral process from initial enquiry to admission using the organisation's IT systems. Your role will involve supporting the Partnership Development/Referrals Managers (PDRMs), collating referral information, arranging and booking assessments, maintaining accurate records, producing comprehensive daily reports and logging relevant information onto the company Customer Relationship Management system (CRM).

You must be confident in the use of all Microsoft Office applications and be willing to learn how to navigate the organisation’s bespoke recording and reporting systems.

This post is primarily remote working, but there will be occasional national travel.  Therefore, a full valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is required.

As a Business Coordinator, you will be:

  • Recording all referral information in line with the Elysium referrals and admission policy
  • Recording response times to referrals, assessments and outcome decision
  • Accurately record information on reporting systems, spreadsheets, databases, Customer Relationship Management system (CRM), and Electronic Patient Record System (EPR)
  • Arranging and setting up assessments face to face and via Microsoft team, this will involve diary management and scheduling reminders
  • Populating assessment report with generic referral information ready for the clinical teams to complete after assessment
  • Communicating with colleagues to ensure all referrals are allocated and followed up
  • Attending referral meetings alongside the PDRM to update teams on referral progress
  • Escalating and reporting any concerns or delays in referrals/assessment processes to the PDRM
  • Checking all funding paperwork is completed/received ahead of planned admissions
  • Working with internal teams to ensure all Ministry of Justice (MOJ) paperwork is completed and received before admission.
  • Maintain an electronic filing system
  • Planning admissions in line with discharges, ensuring a pipeline is in place to maximise occupancy
  • Processing admissions and discharges on the EPR, for services where this arrangement exists

To be successful, you’ll need:

  • Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills with a ‘can-do’ attitude.
  • You will be a real team player with the ability to work as part of a team or self-directed following delegation/instruction from team members. 
  • You will have the willingness to contribute to team and divisional success and go above and beyond to ensure excellent customer service
  • Be confident in use of all Microsoft Office applications. Happy to learn organisation’s bespoke recording systems.
  • Have effective internet search skills and an ability to interrogate information to harvest useful data for the team.
  • Be methodical, very good attention to detail. 
  • Be flexible and adaptable when required.
