Job Description: We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Resistant Materials Teacher to join our dynamic team. If you’re passionate about inspiring students to unleash their creativity and develop practical skills, we want you on board!

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and practical lessons in resistant materials that foster creativity and problem-solving skills.
  • Provide hands-on instruction in various techniques, including woodworking, metalworking, and plastics.
  • Create a safe and supportive learning environment where students feel empowered to experiment and take risks.
  • Assess student progress through practical projects, coursework, and examinations.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to integrate resistant materials into cross-curricular projects and activities.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Design and Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification.
  • Experience teaching resistant materials at the secondary level.
  • Strong technical knowledge and practical skills in woodworking, metalworking, and other relevant areas.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities.
