With a forward-thinking, consultative approach to insurance broking, they are looking for a like-minded individual to join their Borehamwood team as a Trainee Insurance Broker.

Trainee Insurance Broker

Up to £26k DOE | 9-5pm Mon-Fri (hybrid working) | Commercial insurance | Customer service / sales / administration | Friendly, personable, proactive individual | Thriving, innovative Insurance Broker

The role of the Trainee Insurance Broker is to provide support to the various teams within the business. Your duties will include speaking to customers / clients over the phone and via email as well as administrative work. The role will require a mixture of sales, customer service and communication skills along with a proactive approach to work.

Duties (include but are not limited to):

  • Diligently answering the phone, taking customer information accurately and passing the call onto the relevant person / team
  • Meeting and greeting visitors professionally, informing colleagues of their arrival
  • Monitoring an email inbox, responding efficiently to clients where required
  • Providing insurance quotations to customers, following a search for the most suitable insurances available
  • Regularly update CRM system with accurate client information and notes from contact
  • Support colleagues in identifying and developing new business opportunities with new clients
  • Check and maintain insurance / customer information
  • Ensure all duties are carried out in accordance with company procedures and FCA regulations

Person Specification:

  • Experience in a sales, administrative or customer service position preferred
  • Good level of education and an enthusiasm to gain further professional qualifications
  • Ensure confidentiality is always maintained
  • Flexibility in your approach to work
  • A competent user of technology who embraces change
  • Initiative, determination and willingness to learn
  • A collaborative approach to working in a team
