Main Responsibilities as an Underwriting Risk Analyst

  • Define and refine KPIs to monitor risks, ensure robust processes, and flag deviations using automated controls.
  • Perform daily monitoring of loss ratios, business mix, retention, and pricing to meet expected outcomes.
  • Analyse performance, identify deviations, and collaborate with teams to implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain governance documentation, assist with pricing audits, and contribute to committee discussions.
  • Deliver excellent customer outcomes by ensuring high standards of care and enabling informed decisions.

Skills, Qualifications, and Experience

  • Experience in a similar role (ideally at an insurer)
  • Expert Power BI skills
  • Excellent MS Office skills
  • Radar skills and experience
  • Python/SQL skills
