Main Responsibilities as a Polaris Technical Writer
- Develop, write, and maintain user manuals, training guides, and technical documentation for Polaris Library Management Systems.
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and subject matter experts to ensure accuracy and clarity of documentation.
- Create and update online help resources and FAQs for end-users.
- Simplify technical jargon into user-friendly language for various audiences, including non-technical users.
- Conduct usability testing of documentation and gather feedback for continuous improvement.
- Ensure all materials meet organisational and industry standards for style and accessibility.
Skills, Qualifications, and Experience
- Proven experience as a technical writer, preferably with expertise in Polaris
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with libraries, metadata standards, or related fields is a plus.
