My client, one of the largest pathology laboratories in Europe are currently recruiting for an Asset Administrator based in Elstree, Hertfordshire. To provide overall assistance to the Laboratory Services Teams as a central Asset Administration Team. This is a permanent role which includes Manage the documentation of all assets across the Group, including uploading service and repair reports, along with validated equipment information, to the Quality Management System.

Other duties include:

  • Logging equipment faults with the equipment supplier as required.
  • Responsible for ensuring engineers attend as expected. Following up with equipment suppliers regarding engineer performance. Escalate issues where necessary.
  • Logging of equipment faults and progress, throughout the repair cycle through to being back ‘online’.
  • Assisting Laboratory Support Officers with negotiations for job quotations with suppliers.
  • Liaise with manufacturers regarding changes to be made to preventative maintenance schedules.
  • Inform Laboratory Staff of maintenance visits and anticipated equipment downtime.
  • Supporting other Facilities – from time to time there may be a need to support other Laboratory Services Teams within the network of laboratories.

To be considered for this role you must possess previous experience in:

  • Previous experience as an administrator.
  • Good organisational skills - You must communicate in a friendly, helpful manner.
  • To work accurately, neatly and efficiently. Attention to detail is very important.
  • To communicate effectively in English - both verbally and in writing.
  • Happy to work in Elstree and Borehamwood
