Applications Engineer

My client is a well established European Engineering Group specialising in solving thermal energy problems by manufacturing equipment using Steam.

They are currently recruiting an experienced Applications Engineer to undertake a variety of engineering tasks including the review and design of steam, thermal fluid and process air heating systems to lead to the generation of detailed technical and commercial sales proposals.

The role responsibilities will include:-

  • Assessing the requirements of the customer
  • Day to day responsibility for the generation of technical quotations using their inhouse software and select the key component and equipment to meet their needs
  • Perform system flow and pipe work pressure drop calculations
  • Have a good technical understanding of steam and combustion equipment
  • Completing project engineering checks
  • Preparation of commissioning specifications
  • Providing pre and post sales application support to the Sales Engineers and workshop teams

This is an office/workshop based role with the occasional visit to site within the UK. Must have exceptional communication skills and excellent promotional opportunities within the business. Must be highly IT literate using CRM systems and Autocad.

An excellent salary package of offered together with an annual company performance bonus of up to 5%
