Description
- Develop and implement planning strategies within the public sector
- Provide expert advice on planning issues to various stakeholders
- Prepare and present reports to senior management and elected officials
- Coordinate with other departments on planning related matters
- Guide the planning team in project management and delivery
- Ensure compliance with local and national planning policies
- Conduct site inspections and assess planning applications
- Participate in public sector meetings and consultations as required
Profile
A successful Senior Planning Officer should have:
- A degree in Urban Planning or a related field
- Extensive experience in planning and project management
- Strong knowledge of local and national planning policies
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- The ability to work effectively in a team and manage multiple projects
