An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a Category Manager - Indirects to join a prominent healthcare organisation located in Borehamwood, offering a salary of up to £60,000 + £5 car allowance on a permanent basis.

In this role, you will oversee a variety of indirect spend categories, including but not limited to IT and telecommunications procurement, professional services, marketing, vending, catering, fleet management, and patient transportation.

Ideal candidates will possess prior experience in purchasing or procurement, with a specific focus on managing indirect categories.Role responsibilities of the Buyer include:

  • Manage indirect spends, focusing on IT, telecommunications, professional services, and logistics.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to drive technology innovation and meet clinical needs.
  • Oversee supplier relationships, including KPI tracking and quarterly reviews.
  • Manage contracts, including renewal tracking and maintaining the contract register.
  • Develop sourcing strategies and handle procurement activities like ITT writing and supplier selection.
  • Analyse volume reports to ensure contract benefits and support complex procurement projects.

Person Specification of the Buyer:

  • Previous experience in a purchasing or procurement, managing indirect categories
  • Essential - previous IT (hardware or software) procurement experience
  • Microsoft suit proficiency
  • Excellent communication skills across different departments and stakeholders
  • Driven individual with a keen desire to progress their career

Salary

Up to £60k + £5k car allowance

Hybrid working with x3 days a week from home
