Service Charge Officer

We are seeking an experienced Service Charge Officer to join our team on an ongoing temporary basis. This role is crucial for handling resident enquiries related to service charge estimates and actuals. The position offers a dynamic work environment where each day brings new challenges and learning opportunities.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Respond to resident enquiries regarding service charge estimates and actuals, including requests for further information, disputes on service pricing, and corrections of charges.
  • Handle requests for documentation related to service charges such as Section 21 & 22 requests, invoices, and Section 20 consultation information.
  • Support internal teams by answering enquiries via our team inbox, verifying resident charges, and communicating service charge information to residents as directed.
  • Maintain high accuracy in reviewing and verifying resident charges, identifying potential errors such as unusually large increases or discrepancies in invoice allocations.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in service charges in housing services is required.
  • Strong customer service skills, comfortable with regular interaction via phone and email.
  • Proficient numeracy skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics is desirable, though not essential as training will be provided.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
