OA is recruiting a Transport Coordinator to join our client’s expanding and successful team.

Our client is a global leader in transportation and operations management, working with top businesses across the EU and beyond. They specialise in logistics management, road transport, and sea/air transport services for companies worldwide.

This role will specifically focus on managing the Germany/France desk, with a key requirement for experience in EU truck operations.

Location: Elstree, Borehamwood

Hours: Full-time. Monday – Friday.  7:30am-4pm. Office based.

Salary: £28,000-£32,000 – depending on experience.

Transport Coordinator- Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and coordinate daily transport schedules, ensuring timely and efficient movement of goods.
• Manage general freight forwarding activities and maintain up-to-date internal records.
• Provide accurate quotes and updates to clients, ensuring a high level of service and communication.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, coordinating with them regularly to streamline operations.
• Organise and manage customs documentation to prevent any delays during transit and ensure compliance with regulations.

Transport Coordinator - Skills and Experience:

• 1-2 years in the European Road Transport sector would be ideal but not essential.
• EU truck experience is desirable
• French speaking or Italian speaking is a huge bonus.
• Experience in logistics, transport, or supply chain roles is ideal.
• Familiarity with managing fleets, routes, or schedules is advantageous
• Clear communication and excellent time management is essential.
• This role requires quick thinking and the ability to troubleshoot issues, whether they’re route delays, breakdowns, or compliance concerns.
• Must enjoy and thrive within a fast past working environment.
