  • Hybrid - Occasional days at home - Must be flexible re office based)

Join our team as a Neighbourhood Response Officer and play a crucial role in ensuring our neighbourhoods are desirable places to live. This position involves understanding local needs, collaborating with various teams, residents groups, and external partners to maintain clean, safe, and well-maintained estates. You will also address and prevent anti-social behaviour and support vulnerable customers, ensuring a cohesive community environment.

Day-to-Day of the Role:

  • Develop and implement neighbourhood plans and local offers.
  • Conduct regular estate inspections, prioritising fire safety and other risk assessments.
  • Collaborate with local residents’ groups to enhance community facilities, activities, and events.
  • Work with local partners, including neighbourhood teams, voluntary sectors, and youth services, to address safety and anti-social behaviour (ASB) issues.
  • Coordinate with other departments on neighbourhood improvements and services.
  • Manage tenancy breaches, provide support to vulnerable customers, and assess ongoing tenancy sustainment needs.
  • Handle property viewings, tenancy sign-ups, and assignments.
  • Represent the organisation in court, provide witness statements, and conduct evictions as required.
  • Perform property condition checks for various purposes such as mutual exchanges or tenant notice periods.
  • Assist in major incidents and the decanting of tenants as needed.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in delivering excellent customer service.
  • Experience interacting with customers in person and working with external partners.
  • Ability to work independently and develop effective working relationships across teams and agencies.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of adapting the approach to suit different audiences.
  • Resilient, proactive, and creative in finding solutions, with a focus on positive outcomes.
  • Experience working to plans and targets and exercising good judgement.
  • Ability to attend court to represent the organisation and/or provide witness statements as required.
