A permanent opening has arisen for an Inventory and Procurement Analyst to Join a dynamic laboratory services team and work for the largest independent provider of clinical laboratory diagnostic services in the UK, based in Elstree, Herts.

This is a busy and varied role where you will develop and drive new insights into the supply chain performance through data analysis and interpretation. Identify and implement procurement process improvements across the business and provide routine and ad hoc information to the management to support operational decisions.

Job duties include:

  • Forecast supply and demand to prevent overstocking and stock shortages.
  • Maintaining and creating product master data.
  • Raising purchase orders.
  • Tracking shipments and addressing any delays.
  • Receipting of deliveries on ERP system, posting final available quantities.
  • Analysing and evaluating supplier product portfolio’s and negotiating pricing.
  • Monitoring product price changes
  • Coordinate product sourcing, Supplier selection and approval processes.
  • Working with lab support to set up and monitor standing orders and delivery schedules.
  • Identifying the occurrence of aged and obsolete stock.
  • Assisting with inventory audits across site.
  • Creating new reports and updating existing reports.
  • Producing and monitoring inventory metrics.
  • Producing monthly operational reports and ad hoc reports required by management.

To be considered for this role you must possess:

  • Experience in analytical role is essential
  • Extensive experience in supply chain management, procurement, or a related field
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data
  • Educated to degree level.
  • Good organisational skills.
  • To work in a team or as an individual
  • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience in stock management, with a focus on diagnostics products is desirable
