Warehouse/Supply Chain System Support Specialist ERP

  • Annual Salary: £31,500 plus benefits (Pension up to 6%, up to £3000 performance bonus from 2026, medical cash plan, life assurance)

  • Job Type: Full-time, Mon-Fri

We are seeking an ERP System Support Specialist to manage and maintain our client’s ERP system (SAP) to ensure seamless warehouse and manufacturing operations. This role involves close communication with key departments such as IT, Warehouse, Planning, Procurement, Quality, and Manufacturing to keep the SAP system updated and ensure materials are available for manufacturing.

Day-to-Day of the Role:

  • Act as the main lead contact for supporting both Warehouse and Manufacturing teams with issue resolution and training as required.
  • Analyse causes of ERP issues and errors and develop solutions to reduce the incidence of errors.
  • Provide support across areas to minimise the impact of ERP issues on the production schedule and batch release.
  • Establish and develop improvement initiatives to maximise yield, quality, and safety while minimising downtime and waste.
  • Support the Material Review Board (MRB) process in terms of liaising with Manufacturing regarding SAP investigations.
  • Support cycle counts within the Manufacturing areas to drive a shop floor accuracy of >98%.
  • Create training material on how to investigate inventory variances.
  • Ensure that all relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are up to date and refer to any SAP transaction.
  • Record details of all stock movements and issues of incoming and outgoing materials and equipment via SAP.
  • Maintain effective levels of communication with Production, Engineering, Marketing, Quality, and Procurement colleagues for service and problem-solving.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Compliance with written procedures and a good attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and problem-solving/process improvement skills.
  • Previous experience working within the pharmaceutical/food industry a benefit.
  • Experience using Microsoft package and Warehouse based system.
  • Previous experience of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) and GDP (Good Distribution Practice) for 3-5 years.
  • Experience of using SAP or equivalent system.
  • Knowledge of a Production/Manufacturing business and its processes.
  • Education to Maths and English GSCE level or equivalent.
