Supply Chain System Support (ERP)

Our client is seeking a dedicated Supply Chain System Support specialist to manage their ERP system, specifically SAP, ensuring accurate and timely data management to support manufacturing processes. This role is crucial for maintaining seamless operations across various departments including IT, Warehouse, Planning, Procurement, Quality, and Manufacturing. Candidates must come from a manufacturing or production background and demonstrate a continuous work history of 5 years, with any gaps over 28 days requiring a character reference or proof of income.

Day-to-Day of the Role:

  • Act as the main lead for supporting both Warehouse and Manufacturing teams with ERP issue resolution and training.
  • Analyse causes of ERP issues and errors, developing solutions to minimise errors.
  • Support the Material Review Board (MRB) process by liaising with Manufacturing for SAP investigations.
  • Conduct cycle counts within Manufacturing areas to ensure a shop floor accuracy of >98%.
  • Create and update training materials on how to investigate inventory variances.
  • Ensure all relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are up-to-date and reflect any SAP transactions.
  • Manage documentation for material movements and ensure accurate recording of stock movements in SAP.
  • Maintain cGMP and H&S standards, ensuring all records are completed accurately and timely.
  • Participate in training programs to ensure compliance and enhance ERP system efficiency.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong compliance with written procedures and good attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and proficient in problem-solving and process improvement.
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical or food industry is highly desirable.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and experienced with SAP or equivalent systems.
  • Knowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) and GDP (Good Distribution Practice) with 3-5 years of experience.
  • Must have a current full UK driving license or European equivalent.
  • Must have a background in manufacturing or production.
