Manufacturing Process Engineer

Knaresborough, up to 32k DOE

Excellent opportunity to work in a challenging manufacturing process improvement role in the Knaresborough area.

The role would suit either an experienced engineer or a graduate with previous placement experience in a relevant position.

The role:

  • Assess machinery and chemical processes looking for opportunities to implement improvements and resolve manufacturing issues
  • Lead and support operational improvement projects, including lean initiatives, process and process flow improvements
  • Assist with new product introduction, Produce and ensure SOP's
  • Undertake time and motion studies and work with maintenance and production teams to improve where possible
  • Practical problem solving, root cause analysis and rectification
  • Undertake projects on existing production to improve output and quality

The person:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in manufacturing or chemical engineering
  • Understanding of modern techniques and systems in manufacturing improvement.
  • Experience of manufacturing control systems and associated control of data fields
  • Good understanding of problem-solving techniques such as 8D
  • Confident trainer and able to communicate at all levels
  • Able to influence change
