Poultry Farm Manager

We are currently recruiting for an experienced, motivated individual on behalf of well established Client based in Boston. we are looking for a full time poultry farm manager to oversea the poultry operations, across all sites.

The poultry enterprise consists of 160,000 free range laying hens across three different sites, within 6 miles of the main farmstead.

The main roles of the applicant will be:

• Manage day-to-day tasks across all three sites.
• Ordering feed for all sites
• Organising staff rotas
• Completing all relevant audits and paperwork
• Communicating with vet for advice on bird welfare and ordering antibiotics/vaccines
• Overseeing farm maintenance
• Covering egg collection duties during staff holiday

The candidate must be able to:

• Manage and work as part of a team and be able to work on your own initiative.
• Maintain a high level of attention to detail and willing to take on responsibility
• Understand bird welfare
• Work in a professional, flexible and pro-active manner
• Qualifications
• Full UK driving licence

Other training will be available if required.

An attractive remuneration package is available, along with a substantial egg production bonus paid at the end off each flock (calculated on the flocks performance)

A 3 bed farm house is available for the position.

Pay: £35,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
