Intervention Tutor- Boston

Milk Education are currently working with an independent SEMH school located in Boston, Lincolnshire looking for an Intervention Tutor to work full time sarting as soon as possible. This role will be supporting children aged 15-16 in the upper sight of the school. The behaviour at this school will be challenging, so the ideal candidate must have experience with SEMH needs.

The school are committed to ensuring that every child reaches their full potential, and we are looking for a passionate and experienced Intervention Teacher to join our dedicated team.

As an Intervention Tutor, you will play a crucial role in supporting students who require additional help to achieve their academic and personal goals. You will work closely with support staff and parents to design and implement effective intervention strategies tailored to the needs of individual students.

Interventions Tutor Role& Responsibilities:

  • Use specialist skills/training/experience to support pupils and enhance their learning and so progress
  • Undertake programmes linked to maths and english learning, at a lower level.
  • Prepare, maintain, and use equipment/resources required to meet the lesson plans/relevant learning activity and assist pupils in their use
  • To work 1:1 with children and to take responsibility for their learning
  • behaviour management

Non-negotiables:

  • Previous experience of working with children aged 0-11 in a voluntary or paid capacity
  • Knowledge of the Statutory Framework across all Key Stages and the National Curriculum
  • Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) Level 1 upwards
  • Good numeracy and literacy skills
