Junior Delivery Surveyor - Rail consultancy - St Helens - to 30,000 plus overtime

My Engineering and Consultancy client who specialise within Rail have a need for a Junior Delivery Surveyor to support the execution of various land and rail surveys. This role is predominantly office-based, focusing on data processing, report preparation, and supporting senior surveyors, however, there will be opportunities for site-based overtime on weekends, offering you a chance to gain hands-on field experience and earn additional income, this is a perfect opportunity for those looking to kickstart their career in the surveying industry with a focus on rail infrastructure.

Aa a Junior Delivery Surveyor you will be provide Survey Assistance, supporting senior surveyors in conducting a range of land and rail surveys, Data Collection & Handling, assisting in collecting accurate survey data using advanced equipment and techniques for preliminary analysis, Control Grids & Post-Processing, learn and apply basic control grid principles and post-processing techniques, developing proficiency in software such as N4ce or equivalent, Technical Support, provide support in office settings and occasionally on-site for various survey methods, including Structure Gauging, Large Scale Topographic Surveys, Setting Out, Precision Levelling, and Laser Scanning surveys and Compliance & Standards whereby you will gain familiarity with Network Rail standards and other relevant industry regulations to ensure compliance in all survey activities.

You will have a basic understanding and willingness to develop skills in geospatial technology relevant to surveying, be familiar with Industry Standards (some knowledge or interest in learning Network Rail standards and related industry regulations) have an awareness of control grids and a basic understanding of post-processing techniques, basic proficiency or the ability to learn N4ce or similar survey processing software and poses Foundational understanding of various survey methods, both in-office and on-site, including but not limited to Structure Gauging, Large Scale Topographic Surveys, Setting Out, Precision Levelling, and Laser Scanning surveys.
