Job Title: Quality Manager Location: Boston, Lincolnshire Salary: £45,000 - £60,000 (DOE) Contract: Permanent, Full-Time, 5 Days On-Site

Imagine stepping into a business that's already tripled in size in just three years; 300% growth, a team of 25, and a client base that stretches from the UK to Europe, the Middle East, and North America. That's the story of our client, a fast-growing SME in the plastics manufacturing sector based in Boston, Lincolnshire. They've invested in cutting-edge machinery, secured ISO 9001 and 14001 certifications and built an international client base that relies on their high-quality products. This is just the beginning. With ambitious plans to dominate their market, they're ready to take their quality to the next level, and they need you to help write the next chapter.

This isn't just any Quality Manager role. It's a chance to join a business at the very start of its Total Quality Management (TQM) journey, where you'll roll up your sleeves and dive deep into the heart of their operations. Right now, their rejection rate sits at 11%, a challenge driven by manual errors, machinery coding hiccups, and supplier inconsistencies. The goal? Slash it to the industry standard of 3%. You'll be the one to make it happen; mapping processes, crafting SOPs, and training a tight-knit team to bring your vision to life. This is hands-on, get-stuck-in work, and it's all yours to shape.

But the story doesn't stop there. As the business eyes even bigger horizons, you'll lead the charge to build an in-house laboratory from scratch. Picture it: a space where you'll oversee controlled testing for fire retardancy, abrasion resistance, and more. Pushing their products to world-class standards that go far beyond ISO benchmarks. You'll be at the forefront of their long-term strategy, turning quality into a cornerstone of their success.

This role is a rewarding challenge for someone who thrives on impact. You'll need proven quality management experience -ideally in manufacturing or plastics- and a knack for TQM principles. You've tackled rejection rates before, improved supply chains, and you're not afraid to get into the nitty-gritty of operations. Bonus points if you've got a vision for lab setups or certifications like Six Sigma or Lean. Above all, you're a communicator who can inspire people and turn ambition into action.

Based in Boston, this is a full-time, 5-day-a-week on-site role, so you'll need to live within a commutable distance. The reward? A salary of £45,000 - £60,000 (depending on experience), a chance to work with purpose-built technology, and a front-row seat to a business on the rise. Please note: The company can't offer visa sponsorship, so you'll need the right to work in the UK.
